Recently on Instagram I posted about my fitness goals for 2016. Since my besties call me Lo, I decided to dub it “The Lo Glo Up”. To “Glo Up” is basically another way of saying to become an improved version of oneself. I know every year millions of people all over the world try to start the new year with resolutions or goals. Most of which include losing weight or becoming healthier.

February 2015
I’m not picking any resolutions per se, but just planning to continue what I’ve been doing since last year and ramping it up even more. I feel as though being a plus size blogger and wanting to lose weight can ruffle some folks’ feathers in the community. However, the original purpose of starting my blog was to build up my confidence no matter what size I was and I succeeded in that. My goal as an individual has always been striving to become a healthier person. I finally started that journey in early 2015.

I have created a new Instagram account called @TheFitPerfectionist to document my journey and to hold myself accountable. I would love for all of you to follow along and interact with me as I accomplish my goals each day. In addition, this is the beginning of a new weekly feature called “Fitness Friday” in which I will post something fitness related to help encourage others along the way. Next week I will discuss my nutrition plan and what I keep in my pantry to keep me on plan.
